Yes...the brother, left for UK this morning.. :(
We spent a little Ladies Night together last night after the dinner at Long Beach with the extended family...
So, this note was left on my room door...
So, of course, he did the necessary before he cold enter....
And my other sister was there...waiting for him :) hehehe
Yes, my 2 new found sisters...
Now, all the 5 ladies, SMILE!
Ermm..is this considered unappropriate content? >_<
Yeah...but this was not the best part yet.... the best part of it all was this... we played a slideshow that we made for him, and gathered around to sing the song "In Christ Alone" ... thereafter, we started praying together ...and our brother praying over each and everyone of us... yes, its true , Christ alone keeps us together even when we are all physically apart... Christ will protect us.... None of us left the room with a dry eye... all of us were touched and in our hearts, we know, we are very blessed to be in this family....
Surely...it felt great that all 5 of us were worshipping the Lord and praying together. When 2 or more are gathered together, there HE is with Us....
Of couse, my brother continued to shower alot of blessings upon us above all that he has already given us in his short 2 weeks trip here... he gave us some cash to buy something we like, and now I cannot make up my mind! Should I re-perm or rebond my hair? or should i save it? Or should I buy a PSP? Or a bicycle? Oh no... what a hard decision...
Service in itself was good foe me too... Saturday night...i was tossing and turning in bed cause there were alot of things in my mind..comments that were made, thoughts of the future, the past, ...etc etc... I woke up at least once every 2 hours... i was just troubled in my heart...
After worship... Ps Eugene did not say anything much except this...
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, Trust in me also" John 14:1
It was as if God was speaking right into my heart, Do not be troubled, I am with you, Trust in me...
Sometimes, God comes in time, just to rescue me. Really, what is there to fear then?
After worship in my room on Sunday night, the etmosphere of love and peace filled it..and I slept throughout, knowing that the Almighty God is watching over me.
Something that my brother shared with us that he learnt from his service, this is food for thought :
A man went to the doctor one day and told the doctor and the conversation was as such :
Man : Doctor, I think there is something wrong with my wife's ears, She cannot hear me very well. I have to repeat myself about 5 to 6 times before she finally answers me. Is there anything I can do to help her?
Doctor : I won't be able to diagnosed the problem like that. Why don't you go home and try this? Stand 15 feet away and ask your wife a question and see whether she responds to you. If not, stand 10 feet away. If not, standf 5 feet away until she responds to you.
So, the man went home and did what the doctor said..
Man (15 feet away) : Honey, what are you cooking for dinner tonight?
Wife : *no response*
Man (10 feet away): Honey, what are you cooking for dinner tonight?
Wife : * no response*
Man (5 feet away) : HONEY, what are you cooking for dinner tonight?
Wife (SHOUTS) : MY DEAR, FOR THE 3rd time I am saying, I am cooking CHICKEN RICE TONIGHT, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Moral of the story - sometimes, we pray so many times to God thinking that God does not hear us and is not responding to us. In actual fact, do we take time to listen to him? Talking is a conversation between 2, it takes one to speak and one to hear and the other way round.... Have you been listening to him?
Do not let your hearts be troubled.

Brother : We're all Christians right.
Sister : Yes...
Brother : You know what it means?
Sister: What?
Brother : Christ in the word christian means christ is an essential in our lives (duh)
Sister : IAN in the word christian stands for I Am Nothing.
Now, that's food for thought for us.
on another hand, I'm very proud of the man he has become.
He's the MAN!
The older sister wanted to give up on her "oh-so-difficult job" and my wise old brother shared this story with her...
There was once a king, who send his precious son to fight a battle. He told him, 'take this army with you and fight the battle, do not be afraid, for I will send you help should need be." So the son went to war. The war was not a smooth sailing one. In fact, they were on the losing end. Yet the son persevere on, for he is confident that his father will not leave him to die, and help will be on it's way. So he fought hard and never gave up. And after a long time, won the battle. He went home victoriously. When he saw his father, he asked him, 'father, why didn't you send help when we were in trouble?' The father replied, 'Son, I love you enough to send help to you. But, I am also wise enough to know when you need help.'
Well.... I'm glad that the King was wise enough to know when to pick my brother up in his times of need.
I'm so proud of him.
Never thought that these words would come out from me - but yes - i-love-my-brother.

The interactions I had with Chiwern's family this time round has been deeper than ever...It has also helped me to understand Chiwern even better, and has taught me to appreciate the goodness in him as well.. :)
I've always told Chiwern that he is so blessed to be born in a Christian family. I've been equally blessed to be his girlfriend and experience the warmth of the Lord through this family. At the end of each day, his parents would initiate a sharing session and we would all sit around and share a bit about ourselves. It was great fun! There were tears, and laughter. I even got to know more about his parent's dating experiences! *Too personal to be revealed here* ... But, I'm so glad that I was included in part of this family. i'm so glad to be prayed over every night...
I see how this Christian family operate and I pray that this will continue to flow from his parent's generation to our own family. I see how they interact with each other. I see how every child is protected by the Lord. I hear of stories of how auntie prays for everyone of them every night. i hear good news of God's provision for the family at the right time... and in my heart ... my prayer is that our family will be modelled after this...That the Lord God will always be head and leader of the household. Just Like Chiwern's.
In this trip, Mei Yih (Chiwern's sister) talked to me more and I'm able to connect with her on a deeper level. Not so awkward. :) I like. Mei Yih and I shared the hotel room and we watched TV to sleep! :) I'm so gonna miss her and the chat till we fall asleep! :) I told her that she's become such a lady already... Packs up, washes up without being instructed.. Like a perfect Proverbs 31 woman.. I really admire her.. She's very mature for her age..
DAY 1
Pic 1 - SO EXCITED! Arrived in Malaysia and took a picture in the bust as we usually would!
Pic 2 - Took a cab! But the hassle was such an experience! The bus dropped us off at Pudu Raya but the cabs over there wanted to charge us about $30 for us to cab to Chiwern's Godma's place! We walked on (While shopping!) and found a cab who would charge us by the meter! So cheap! it was $10 equivalent to singapore's $5!
Day 2
READY FOR SOME FUN!
PALACE OF THE GOLDEN HORSES!
He Cannot Contain His Excitement Upon Reaching the Hotel!

When we went to the supermarket to shop...Chiwern started plucking of things the shelves that I like to eat, drink and use.... In my heart, I felt touched and loved... Like how he remembers the things I use...and the things I like to eat n drink :)
